Mike Plumlee, financial advisor, has loved playing golf ever since he was a kid. Growing up in Dallas meant that he was fortunate enough to be right in the epicenter of the golfing universe. He grew up watching his father play at a local club, and he eventually started joining in the family golf outings. Ultimately, Mike started competing in Dallas-area tournaments and spent many years enjoying the lifestyle of a professional golfer. After finally settling down, his family and businesses became his priorities, but he still savors being able to play a round of golf with his buddies.
One of the main reasons Mike feels drawn to the sport is the beauty of the courses themselves. He is an outdoorsman by nature and is always looking for a way to be outside. The other reasons golf appeals to him are the connections he makes with fellow golfers and the feeling he gets from mastering tough shots.
Mike Plumlee has worked in the world of business finance for over 30 years. Aside from being a financial advisor, he is the owner and President of MPAC Consulting Group. He has a faithful customer base because of his professionalism, organization skills, and people-focused approach to money management. He specializes in estate planning, asset protection, tax reduction, and overall financial planning.
Mike earned his bachelor’s degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX, majoring in political science and government. When he began school, he initially wanted to practice law, but he soon found out that his passion and talent lay elsewhere. The stock market caught his eye and he found himself drawn to the world of finance. After graduation, he joined the brokerage firm Dean Witter as a trainee. There, he learned many valuable lessons but also felt the stress of the constant need to meet daily quotas. The majority of the trainees didn’t last – their class size went from 210 to 16 within two years. Mike Plumlee, Financial Advisor, however, not only survived the program, but he also excelled consistently over the next five years until deciding he was ready to start his own company. He decided that the customer was the one who should come first, and he made it his mission to provide people with an alternative to existing money management methods. His firm, MPAC Consulting, recently joined the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and received A+ accreditation, as well as becoming part of the American Financial Education Alliance (AFEA), a nonprofit organization that educates communities about finances.
Mike Plumlee, financial advisor, is a proud Dallas native and resident. He currently lives with his wife and two children.
